If you don’t know, Seth spent a few months working the 2019 harvest across New Zealand’s North and South Islands and came home a true believer in just how special the country’s wines can be. Join us for a special evening dedicated to Rippon, one of New Zealand’s most celebrated wineries and a true benchmark for Central Otago. Rippon has become one of the defining estates of New Zealand, producing remarkably distinctive, site-driven wines that have earned a well-earned reputation among the world’s most compelling.

Perched along the stunning shores of Lake Wānaka with the Southern Alps rising behind it, Rippon has been cared for by the Mills family for four generations. The vineyard is farmed biodynamically, without irrigation, and is home to some of Central Otago’s oldest vines.

For this tasting, we’ll work our way through seven wines, beginning with Rippon’s aromatic whites before moving into Pinot Noir and finishing with the estate’s celebrated single-parcel wines, Emma’s Block and Tinker’s Field. We’ll even reach into the cellar for a 2016 Mature Vine Pinot Noir giving us the chance to see how these extraordinary wines evolve with age. This is a rare tasting of wines you rarely get to experience side-by-side and we’re thrilled to host you for the evening!
