Hello Le Midi subscribers! Summer has officially arrived in all of its scorching glory, and the patio is ready for you.
With “rosé-season” in full swing, we are showing off one of our new by the glass options below which should not be missed!
We have also brought on a new cow/sheep’s milk cheese from the Alta Lange creamery. Robiola Bosina is a soft Piedmont cheese that tempers perfectly in the heat and becomes the most delicious gooey, spreadable treat to supplement our incredible wine selections. Think of it as a more nutty and robust-flavored brie.

San Salvatore "Vetere"

$19/glassAlong with the fact that this bottle is a wonderful eye-catcher reminiscent of ancient Greek pottery, the wine itself is built for the serious rosé-lovers of the world. San Salvatore winery is located in the heart of the stunning Cilento National Park near Paestum in the Campania region of southern Italy renowned for its volcanic soils rich in minerals that contribute to the unique characteristics of the region's wines. The volcanic origin of the soil, combined with the influence of the nearby sea and ideal sun exposure, creates a perfect microclimate for viticulture, resulting in wines with distinctive flavors and exceptional quality. San Salvatore is dedicated to organic farming including olive groves and crops that support their 550-head water buffalo herd, and employing biodynamic preparations and natural pest control methods. Their innovative practices, including an onsite photovoltaic plant and a biodigester, significantly reduce their carbon footprint and set a high standard for environmental practices in the Italian wine industry. Founded in 2006 by Giuseppe Pagano, the winery is named after Giuseppe's firstborn son, Salvatore, symbolizing a deep familial connection to the land.
"Vetere" is what I would call a highly distinguished rosato crafted from organically grown Aglianico grapes. The gentle pressing of the grapes followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks ensures that the wine retains its fresh and vibrant character. Its delicate, light pink hue and aromatic profile features a blend of red fruits, pink grapefruit, and complemented by hints of crushed wild rose, violet, and Mediterranean scrub. A real show-stopper in the vast world of rosés!

Prà "Staforte"

($29.99)The Prà winery, although only started in the early 1980’s, has come to be not only one of the top producers in the Soave appellation, but also comes from one of the most important and visionary white wine makers in all of Italy- Graziano Prà. Another volcanic-soiled wine with an average vine age of 30 to 40 years, Staforte is made from a selection of the best Garganega grapes from vineyards in the Monteforte d'Alpone zone and is of such great quality that it can easily cellar for up to 5-10 years. The rollercoaster of aromas and flavors include ripe apples, candied orange peel, crushed rocks, milled white pepper, and mint leaf. This is ideal with nutty cheeses and roasted white fish. |

($26.99)Brézé, a commune in Saumur celebrated for its aromatic and vibrant age-worthy Cabernet Francs, serves as the backdrop for this wine. Loaded with flavors of red currants, strawberry skin, citrus rind, and crushed rocks, this 70% Cabernet Franc and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon blend comes from Lambert’s chalkiest soils in the lower part of Clos du Midi (yay Le Midi!). It is vinified using the méthode champenoise and aged 24 months sur-lie. This is an incredible value for a serious sparkling wine. It’s versatile with multiple cuisines but especially goes nicely with Thai curries and alpine cheeses. |

"Ritual Sister" Smoked Pineapple Spirit

($64.99)Ready to make the best pineapple margarita known to man? Use this artisanal liqueur from Matchbook Distillery to transform your everyday humdrum cocktail into something extraordinary. Whole fire-roasted, smoked and baked pineapples are fermented in evaporated pineapple juice and mineral water, then the nectar is transferred to a tank, mixed with purified water, minerals, and Champagne yeast. Meanwhile, whole pineapples are roasted in a pit for 1-4 days, then covered in the pied de cuve mixture. The pineapples are then crushed and distilled with the solids, allowing natural microbes to shape the spirit's character. There are absolutely no additives used and what you get is a pristine and mind-boggling delicious spirit that can also easily be splashed with some soda water, or real ginger ale. |
